- Art is connected to place and place is connected to heart - Ever since i was a kid, i have been fascinated by the role of jewelry in various cultures through out the ages. I used to stare at those old sepia photos of Native American men and women dressed in gorgeous leather beaded garments accented with breathtaking sterling silver jewelry. Jewelry that they never took off... but was considered a spiritual part of their being. It is because of this fascination that i became a Silversmith.
All of my creations are hand-forged from sterling silver and 18K gold. The leather is vintage & recycled- soft, yummy and broken in. Each piece of jewelry is uniquely hand crafted with the spirit of the Southwest, and that of other cultures from around the world, in mind and heart. It is my hope that it becomes a part of you... simple, beautiful and empowering... a talisman worn for its meaning, guidance and protection. A statement about place, and heart and you. |
